Dear Friends,

We find ourselves once again in a situation of lockdown. Unfortunately, this has been necessary due to the current circumstances of the Covid-19 pandemic. Normally, we would be entering a new year full of anticipation of the possibilities which lay before us. Let us say that this is still the case as the church has not stood still these past nine months. The work of the church will continue albeit on a restricted basis. Our forward momentum will not be carried out at the same pace as we would like but nonetheless move forward, we shall.

As we look on the history of the Christian church there have been times when Christ’s followers have experienced hardship and even persecution. In the history of our nation there have also been times when our settled existence has been threatened. During these times we were not abandoned by God and His Son. The church stood firm at these times sure in the knowledge that God was walking beside us.

These are difficult times, but like those before us, we shall come through this period of our history to once again serve our towns, cities, and villages in the fullest way possible. Meanwhile, we serve in as best a way as we can looking to Jesus our Lord and Saviour to guide, protect, and inspire us.

May God richly bless us all as we enter into this new year of 2021. To Him be all praise and glory.

With every blessing,

Hutton
